Evaluation of Fecal Incontinence, Constipation and Other Functional Disorders
Dr. Kaiser explains the evaluation of pelvic floor problems:
At USC, we have a dedicated pelvic floor laboratory designed to evaluate and treat all type of pelvic floor dysfunction. We use specialized equipment to diagnose all types of pelvic floor problems including incontinence, sphincter problems, and more. We provide a detailed report of your problem to your referring physician and offer the latest technologies to treat these problems (including sacral nerve stimulation surgery and artificial bowel sphincters). In the lab itself, we can perform: anal manometry, anal or rectal ultrasound, and pelvic nerve testing. We can also perform defecography and intestinal transit studies as an outpatient. Call our office to find out more information on how we can help you with your pelvic floor problems.
