Jennifer Pena is the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Hepatology/Liver Transplant Program at USC University Hospital. She obtained her BSN from California State University, Los Angeles, and her MSN in Acute Care from University of California, Los Angeles. She joined the team in 2002 bringing with her 7 years of liver transplant experience, including ambulatory, emergency and critical care. Jennifer is a member of several professional organizations including the California Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Society.

Jennifer works collaboratively with hepatologists Drs. Fong, Donovan, and Kahn as well as the other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide inpatient care to pre and post transplant patients. Her responsibilities include direct clinical patient management, administrative organization of the team, and staff/patient education.
