Evaluation of Potential Donors Blood Type:   The donor and recipient must be ABO identical Psychosocial evaluation Physician interview and physical examination CXR and ECG Labs: CBC with platelets, Chem 7, Ca, Mg, Ph, PT/PTT LFTs (TB, DB, ALT, AST, Alk. Phos.,GGT, LDH) Total proteins, albumin, cholesterol Special (serum Ferritin, al-Antitrypsin) Serologies: anti-HBcAB HbsAg anti-HCV CMV EBV HIV VDRL Abdominal CT scan with IV contrast and volume measurement of the left lateral segment Additional tests or consultation may be ordered if considered necessary by the evaluating physician.
