Aftab
Mahjabeen Aftab is a clinical faculty member of USC School of Occupational
Therapy. She graduated in 1977 with a B.S. from Jinnah post graduate
medical center in Karachi, Pakistan. She has worked in different
clinical settings as a staff and faculty member and chief occupational
therapist.
Mahjabeen received her certification in management of lymphoedema in 1998 in Texas and since then she has combined these techniques to improve the quality of life for patients with edema/lymphoedema. Her goal is to ultimately improve awareness in cancer patients so lymphoedema can be prevented or managed as early as possible.
Mahjabeen joined the USC staff in September 2001 and is currently working as a clinical instructor at the USC University Hospital. Her responsibilities include providing treatment to outpatients and inpatients and is also the primary therapist for Norris Cancer Hospital.
Mahjabeen is a registered occupational therapist and certified by the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapist, the California Board of Occupational Therapy and a member of the National Lymphoedema Network.
