Dr. Mitra K. Nadim, holds the title of Assistant Professor of Medicine, Associate Director of the Hypertension Service and Renal System Chair for 2nd year medical students at Keck School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology.
Dr. Nadim received her undergraduate education at University of California, Irvine and earned her medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Nadim then pursued a fellowship in Nephrology at the Brigham & Women’s / Massachusetts General Hospital joint program. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and American Society of Hypertension. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Dr. Nadim specializes in diagnosis and management of kidney diseases and hypertension. She is available to consult on a wide range of cases of hypertension including, but not limited to, malignant, resistant and renovascular hypertension, hyperaldosteronism, pheochromocytoma, circadian disturbances of blood pressure and orthostatic hypotension.
In collaboration with Dr. Vito M. Campese, Chief of Nephrology, Dr. Nadim is establishing a Hypertension Center at the Ambulatory Healthcare Center and USC University Hospital. In the Hypertension Center, Drs. Campese and Nadim collaborate with Dr. Fred Weaver, Chief of Vascular Surgery at USC and with faculty in the USC Division of Cardiovascular Medicine to provide the most sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with high blood pressure.
