Mission Statement
To save lives, and prevent long term disability due to stroke and limb loss by offering a comprehensive approach to vascular disease through preventive services, diagnostic expertise and the latest in minimally invasive surgical techniques.

The Center Philosophy
The care of patients with a vascular disorder is evolving at a rapid pace. In the past, vascular surgeons used traditional open surgical procedures to treat most vascular problems, with excellent short and long term results. Today, innovative approaches, which rely on noninvasive vascular imaging and endovascular technology, provide patients with new, potentially less invasive treatment options. USC Center vascular physicians have fully incorporated these new technologies into the care and treatment of patients with vascular disease. Expert and comprehensive care including, diagnostics, screening, and minimally invasive approaches using the latest in imaging and treatment is all available through the USC Center for Vascular Care.

The USC Center for Vascular Care offers patients an individually tailored approach to vascular care where all possible surgical, endovascular and medical options are considered. "The Center is unique since we view our role as vascular disease specialists who just happen to be surgeons," explains Fred A. Weaver, MD, Professor of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, and Chief, Division of Vascular Surgery. "We have a primary focus on prevention, offering patients screening tests for stroke, aortic aneurysm and heart disease. “For patients who have symptoms due to a vascular process which requires treatment,” Dr. Weaver continues, "the Center offers the latest in vascular diagnostics and treatment."
